Living just 12 minutes away from one of the nation's best rock festivals, Inkcarceration has become one of my favorite things about Mansfield, Ohio. It turns into a hotbed for rock music enthusiasts nationwide overnight. This year, I finally had the opportunity to attend the festival for the first time, and it was an exhilarating experience from start to finish. From unexpected encounters to mind-blowing performances, Inkcarceration 2023 left an indelible mark on my rock-loving heart.
A Surprise Wake-Up Call: The day started with a delightful surprise when I received a text from Brandon, the frontman of Crobot, saying they were heading my way. Little did I know that Crobot's new bass player was also a member of the renowned band Flyleaf. The excitement of the day ahead began to build as I eagerly awaited their arrival. Having obligations until 3 pm, I quickly purchased a day pass with parking. As I did so, I realized this is how clients feel when there's a new home to look at.
The lineup for Inkcarceration 2023 was a dream come true for any hard rock music aficionado. I enjoyed incredible performances by Bush, Gideon, 10 Years, Wage War, Day Seeker, Flyleaf, Lamb of God, Pop Evil, and Slipknot. But what made the experience even more special was being surrounded by incredible friends, thank you for introducing us Real Estate. Brittany, Steven, Amanda, and Carla were an incredible crew to hang out with during the festival. Their warm invitation made the entire experience even more enjoyable, and I'm grateful for their presence. AND it turns out they know my other amazing client Robert!
One of the highlights of Inkcarceration 2023 was the flawless flow of the music acts. The festival organizers ensured downtime between sets, allowing every artist ample time to showcase their talent. This thoughtful scheduling kept the energy high, and the crowd engaged throughout the event. From the explosive performances of Lamb of God and Slipknot to the melodic and emotive tunes of Flyleaf and 10 Years, each band had their moment to shine, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
Inkcarceration 2023 proved to be an unforgettable rock festival experience. The festival's proximity to my home allowed me to revel in the raw power of live music without traveling far. From the surprising wake-up call from Brandon to the incredible performances of various bands, the festival exceeded all my expectations. The camaraderie of my fantastic crew and the seamless flow of the event made it all the more memorable. As I eagerly anticipate Inkcarceration 2024, I can't help but feel fortunate to have such a remarkable rock festival right in my backyard.
Lessons Learned for Next Year: Looking back on Inkcarceration 2023, I realized there were a few things I could have done differently. Planning my schedule more efficiently, I'll be better prepared to fully immerse myself next year. Thanks for the invitation Brandon, Brittany, and Steven!
